I am writing to express my interest in energy positions that are open. I currently work as an operator at the Philips66 Refinery in Billings, MT. I have been working my current position for over six years and believe I can adapt the learning and knowledge gained from my experiences into an energy (especially new energy sector) position. I graduated from Ball State University with a degree in Nature Resource and Environmental Management; and I am also working on my finial thesis for my dual Masters in Aviation Science and Aviation Management. I believe that I can merge my formal education with my practical experience- with petrochemical refining and as a Coast Guard flight mechanic/aircrew- to fulfill and surpass the expectation of this position which requires the utmost attention to safety and environmental quality.
I consider myself ideal for these positions because of my extensive first hand knowledge of Safe Work Processes (e.g., Lockout/Tagout, Work Permits) and extensive training in energy/resource management . My time running my own business allowed me to develop multiple professional relationships with my clients, vendors, and contractors while also being aware of billing, taxes, and scheduling. My work in Coast Guard Aviation taught me attention to detail, sometimes down to .001mm, and how to setup and maintain multiple complex maintenance schedules. I trust I can bring all this knowledge of partnership building and my skill set of professional communication into this position.
Thank you for taking the time to consider my application. I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely, Greg Bleyer
