To Whom It May Concern,
It is with confidence in my abilities as a successful business leader that I submit my resume for consideration. In addition to my work experience in union and non-union work environments, I have added to my professional development skills by obtaining a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Resource Management (HRM), Master of Business Administration/Human Resource Management (MBA/HRM) and Doctor of Business Administration degree with a specialization in Organizational Leadership (DBA).
I am currently the Associate Vice President of Talent Management (Human Resources (HR)) at Grace Christian University (GCU). My assignment is to provide a high level of consistency and compliance through strategic planning and standardize business practices in the Talent Management department. My resume gives a clear representation of my skills and achievements as a visionary for HR.
I am also currently facilitating adjunct courses for GCU. I have been an adjunct professor since 2014, teaching online and on-campus. My resume provides a summary of courses I have successfully facilitated.
Prior to accepting the great opportunity at GCU, I worked as a Supervisor 11 for the State of Michigan, Department of Technology and Budget, Office of Retirement Services. My role consisted of staff coaching and development in alignment with effective production planning to meet service level goals. I led and implemented a business plan initiative to develop an expert team responsible for handling concerns from citizens directed at the governor’s office. I also lead the business plan initiative for the existing health and wellness program for employees in the customer service center.
Prior to working for the State of Michigan, I was Campus Director at Ross Education, LLC, responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and training employees while managing various departments to ensure enrollment goals, placement goals and retention goals were met. I was accountable to input data for daily, weekly, and monthly reports as well as analyzing the data to determine areas of weakness and/or strengths. I managed 26 direct reports and up to 220 students to daily.
My transformational leadership style is reflected in my ability to inspire, create positive outcomes, visualize different perspectives, and motivate individuals to collaborate towards common goals. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss the position in further detail and share how I would be an asset to your organization.
Respectfully,
Dr. Sherea Lacy
