My name is Yuriy Melenchuk, and I grew up in Glenview, IL, which is a northern suburb of Chicago. Growing up, I would caddy at my local country club, Sunset Ridge Country Club, where I had the opportunity to meet and talk to many business professionals and pick their brains about the industry they work in, and network with them too. Because of my hard work for the last seven summers, I have been lucky enough to earn the Chick Evans Scholarship, which is a 4-year full-ride academic scholarship, which eventually led me to the University of Illinois. Due to my love and passion for sports, I joined the Fighting Illini Football program as a student coach and manager and assisted with anything the program needed. After learning the ins and outs of football from the coaching perspective, I wanted to learn about the business aspect of football, thus joining the Illinois Sports Consulting Agency and helping small market teams reach their goals of growing a fan base and marketing their team to the mass public.
