For more than 4 years, I have been leading the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives at Metroparks Toledo, a regional public park system that serves more than 3 million visitors annually. As the Director of DEI, I am responsible for creating and implementing comprehensive plans, strategies, and metrics that align with the organization's vision, mission, and values.
I collaborate closely with HR teams and across departments to improve staff engagement, retention, and development, as well as to foster a culture of inclusion and belonging. I also leverage my presentation skills and cultural diversity knowledge to educate and inspire internal and external stakeholders on the benefits and best practices of DEI.
