I am in search of a new way to use my skillset as a genetic counselor. I would like to pivot into the world of Patient Engagement and Advocacy, where I would serve as the liaison between patients and major pharmaceutical or biotechnology companies to ensure that patient needs are considered. I have 3 years of direct patient care experience and 2 years of graduate training with a Master's Degree in genetic counseling. I am certified as a genetic counselor in all areas of genetics, but have mainly specialized in cancer genetics, biopharmaceutical partnerships, reproductive genetics, and population genomics. I directly care for a minimum of 30 patients per week. I have many transferable skills that would be useful to a pharmaceutical or biotech company seeking insight from a genetics and/or patient engagement perspective. I am seeking remote positions. I live in Salt Lake City, UT, but am planning to relocate to Chicago, IL and could accept a position there as well.
