Analyzing structural integrity, failure analysis, or designing towards failure using computational mechanics methods such as finite element methods/analysis. The applicant has a PhD in this area and can use commercially available software or write subroutines for specific applications, since these programs are very expensive and not affordable for small businesses. The applicant has experience in the programming languages in Python, Matlab, and Fortran. The location can be in San Antonio Texas (onsite work), Austin Texas (onsite work), or anywhere else for remote work (online). The position is preferred to be temporary as part-time, full-time, or as a contractor.
