Dear Sir, I am Md Anarul Hoque, working as a postdoctoral research associate at Dept. of Chemistry and Chemical Biology at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), Troy, NY. I have two years postdoctoral work experience from the department of Enzymology in Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China. I obtained my PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China. In PhD program, I worked on developing novel methods for enzyme engineering to generate enzymes with tailor-made properties (1st author, ACS Chemical Biology 2017, 12 (5): 1188-1193; Methods in Enzymology 2020, 643, 111-127) and building a microbial synthetic gene circuits for detecting environmental contaminants (1st Co-author, Analytical Chemistry 2018, 90, 10577?10584). Currently, I am working on protease (papain) enzyme characterization and expression in E. coli and Yeast cells (Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, RPI, Troy, NY) This long-term study in protein chemistry gives me comprehensive knowledge about design and expression recombinant protein, biochemical characterization, structural and functional relationship analysis of biocatalyst, protein engineering methods including computational design, smart library design, high-throughput selection strategies and application of biocatalyst at variety of settings. Additionally, it taught me to design, organize, execute multiple tasks at a time and complete works on due time with high quality.
