I'm an American citizen from Southeast Michigan who moved abroad in 2010 to work with at-risk children in South America. It is my desire to remain in South America if possible and to work remotely, but I am open to some travel if required. I have been working remotely for my present employer, who is located in Kansas, for the past 2 years, averaging 25 hours a week. I am seeking a remote position that will provide from 30 hours per week up to full time, or a second remote position providing 10 to 20 hours per week. My degree is from MSU in mechanical engineering, most of my work experience is designing using CAD, and I'm equal proficient with modeling and drafting. The majority of my work has been in the automotive industry, with half of that being plastic design, and some injection mold fabrication support. I've used around a dozen different CAD systems during my career, but I am presently running Solidworks 2020 at home. I am willing to adapt my talents to any software for which a license is provided. I will also consider temporary or occasional work for multiple clients who have need of help during crunch times, but not consistently enough for a direct hire situation.
