My name is Carlos Alonso, I work at Lazard, and I am writing to you because I would love to make the jump to the Buyside (Fundamental HF but also open to Event Driven) as soon as possible after almost 2 years at Lazard and having experienced what a buyside firm is like first hand in a 10 month internship in PE before joining Investment Banking. As you can see in my resume, my profile has been generalist, having done both M&A and restructurings, and in very varied sectors. As you will see from my experience and my studies, if there is a sector that has starred in my life it is TMT although I am open and delighted to work in other sectors. I am passionate about the markets and even though I know that the most typical role after M&A is PE, I have decided to try to position myself to be able to start working in a HF as soon as possible.
