I am seeking a career change from the world of registered nursing to the world of medical equipment sales. In fact,
I bring 8+ years of healthcare experience which include: hospital warehousing, hospital medical equipment service provider, hospital/outpatient medical transporter for radiology department, 2 years of patient care assisting within psychiatry, along with 5 years of RN experience, and a lifetime of being a caring and customer focused individual.
I have two Bachelor Level degrees with focuses in Nursing as well as Organizational Leadership. I also carry several health care certifications. My passion for healthcare and the products that healthcare facilities utilizes is of great importance to me.
During COVID, I saw many "corners being cut" as a way to "save time and save money" as indicated by leadership by a former employer. As a result, there were many poor outcomes witnessed not only to patient's and their family members, but to staff as well.
Many nurses and other healthcare practitioners are falling out of the field simply because they are not respected, their voices aren't heard, and they are not presented with the newest and best in medical equipment. Not to mention there are major flaws in communication between varying layers of healthcare providers, but that is a subject for a different time and place.
I believe my passion for people and networking, combined with great communication skills, linked with the desire that not only hospital personnel, but the persons they take care of have only the best of healthcare experiences will start me on the right path. This coupled with my desire that facilities only utilize the best and most modern equipment to provide the highest level in care, which will only provide a greater number of positive patient outcomes will propel me to the top in this field.
