We specialize in recruiting accounting talent for hire at public accounting firms ranging from national to local firms. Our principal recruiter, Stanley Stempler, CPA, SPHR, spent more than 20 years as an HR Director at public accounting firms learning the ins and outs of the industry. He transitioned to executive recruiting in 2006, and since then has placed hundreds of accounting professionals throughout the U.S. He prides himself on being a very ethical recruiter who treats each candidate with the utmost respect and caring.
Stan received his BA (graduating Phi Beta Kappa) from Rutgers University and his MBA from Rutgers Business School. After spending three years working for Big 4 and local CPA firms as an auditor (and becoming a CPA in the process), he made a career change to Human Resources at public accounting firms. He then spent over 20 years working as the HR Director for several regional public accounting firms, principally for Margolin, Winer & Evens LLP, a 200 person firm based in Garden City, Long Island and then JH Cohn LLP (now CohnReznick LLP), one of the largest firms in the Northeast.
During those years he hired hundreds of public accounting professionals and learned the business. He also established contacts with fellow HR professionals at public accounting firms throughout the United States.
In 2009 Stan founded SAS Executive Search, LLC with the following goals:
- To place CPAs and public accountants at CPA firms throughout the United States.
- To help individuals relocate from one part of the U.S. to another.
- To treat each candidate with the utmost respect and caring.
During this time he has developed a reputation as an extremely ethical recruiter who has tremendous contacts and consequently have helped scores of professionals find new positions in public accounting.
