Eleven have been in the energy and commodities market for over 23 years. Our clients are active globally across gas, power, LNG, emissions, oil, shipping, and more recently chemicals, alternative technologies and renewables. We source highly experienced talent as individuals or teams across front, middle and back office. We also find the brightest, mobile, innovative engineers, chemists, technical and commercial candidates. We work in partnership with our clients, including trading houses, energy majors, emerging technology businesses and new ventures, utilities and shipowners, to connect the right people, matching not only expertise but personality, culture and aspirations.  

We became recruiters for the oil industry as a natural extension. Our parent company, Ashley & Dumville, started selling coal and coke from horse drawn carriages back in 1880, diversifying to fuel oils in the 1950s. With an enviable list of contacts, a publishing arm was established in the seventies and Oil Recruitment (Eleven’s previous name) was launched in 1998.

Today, Ashley & Dumville is a fourth-generation family run group; the Smiths have always prided themselves on adapting to the needs of the industry, to build a sustainable business for our clients and employees alike, so it’s no surprise to us our shift to encompass emerging technologies, chemicals and renewables recruitment continues alongside our clients’ transitions too.
