Smart, experienced people and hard work help us find the best candidates.
It starts with a highly talented team at The Hudson Group with more than 30 years in the Education Industry and 15 years of experience in Executive Search. Add to that a focused and innovative approach to professional recruitment and executive searches. The combination produces exceptional results for clients from the education, not-for-profit and corporate sectors. We not only identify and recruit top-flight candidates, but we build lasting relationships with our clients that result in long-term benefits.
The Hudson Group history
The Hudson Group was launched by Michael Gionta in 1992, and originally called the Hudson Consulting Group. As someone who wanted to improve the executive search process, Mike became a franchisee of Management Recruiters International (MRI) and quickly became a student of "the craft of executive search."
Mike proceeded to seek out the best and brightest fellow franchise owners and was a driving force in the creation of Worldbridge Partners. At first focusing on Information Technology, Mike wanted to expand into his main area of passion - Education Recruiting. In 2003, John Assunto was brought on board to manage the Education Division and under Mike's guidance immediately made an impact in the EdTech, Distance Learning and Higher Education segments of the market. The team rapidly expanded under John's direction and additional focus on K12, Corporate Education, and Non-Profit Organizations was added to the portfolio.
In 2010, Mike moved away from day-to-day operations and handed over the reigns so he could concentrate on another passion - Teaching. He's now one of the most sought after "gurus" of executive search practices in the world, and The Hudson Group is proud to be a consortium partner of Worldbridge Partners, serving as their Education Division.
