Our Mission

MassHire Boston Career Center’s mission is to provide state-of-the-art services that successfully connect business and job seekers of Greater Boston.

MassHire Boston Career Center can connect you to employers looking to hire.

In fact, MassHire Boston Career Center holds more than 250 on-site recruitment sessions every year with companies from healthcare, education, transportation, and many other fields. This means job seekers can meet face-to-face with employers at the career center.

MassHire Boston Career Center is part of the Massachusetts One-Stop Career Center network.  Formerly known as Boston Career Link, MassHire Boston Career Center is operated by Morgan Memorial Goodwill Industries. Goodwill has operated the career center since 1996.

As part of its model, MassHire Boston Career Center brings businesses to the career center to conduct on-site interviews. The career center also holds job fairs and mass hiring events. Companies like Boston Medical Center, Delta Air Lines, and Santander regularly come to the career center to recruit employees.

In one case, Delta Air Lines needed to hire staff for a new screening program at Logan Airport. The airline came to the career center nine times and hired 51 individuals – all well over minimum wage and with good benefits.

MassHire Boston Career Center offers a number of services to help job seekers, including universal access to a broad range of career counseling services, career resources, workshops, and special programs to connect job seekers with employers. Job seekers learn about current openings, receive assistance with their job searches, learn job search techniques, and receive instruction on how to apply for a job online. MassHire also has a fulltime veterans’ representative dedicated to helping veterans find employment.

In conjunction with Goodwill, MassHire Boston Career Center runs the Clothing Collaborative for Job Trainees. This quarterly event provides interview appropriate clothing and accessories at no charge for job seekers who are MassHire members or who have completed job training at Goodwill or other Boston-area training programs.

The MassHire Boston Career Center staff is multicultural and multilingual. The career center is chartered by the MassHire Workforce Development Board Boston.
